Glendale, CA - The Larta Institute, in collaboration with the City of Long Beach, presented the Global Technology Conference, a forum for Technology Companies and International Markets, on September 9, 2004 at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center.

As part of his on going commitment to Technology, Arun Gollapudi was honored to serve on this year's Larta Technology Conference panel presentation, "The Global Technology Marketplace: Trends and Issues: Off-shoring in a Global Economy".

Arun Gollapudi is CEO and Co-Founder of Systech Solutions, Inc., an IT Consulting firm based in Southern California. Systech Solutions started off as a small consulting practice, where 20 employees had a specialization. Focused on Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing Systech has managed to grow its client list to include American Express, Authentic Fitness, AmeriSource Bergen, Calvin Klein, Countrywide, Chaps- Ralph Lauren, Ihop, Nike, Petco, Kia, Guess, Proctor & Gamble, Hotwire, Universal, Honda, Nissan, Ingram Micro, Nestle, Blue Cross; to name a few. Systech Solutions has since grown internationally with offices in San Francisco, Oregon, Chicago, Connecticut, United Kingdom and India.

Along with Arun Gollapudi, Dr. Robert P. Lee (President & CEO, Accela, Inc. Doctors (Founder and CEO, ACET -Advancing California's Emerging Technologies) served on this year's panel presentation, to discuss the ongoing outsourcing issues affecting technology, both locally and globally. The panel focused on areas of public opinion, media coverage, evolution and potential impact of (technology) off-shoring on domestic and world economies.

The Global Technology Conference aims to increase awareness of the untapped growth potential that international markets represent for local technology companies. The conference brings together tech-based companies, investors, business leaders and entrepreneurs who want to learn about the global technology landscape, and this year showcased the City of Long Beach as one of nation's most supportive cities for emerging technologies and their international trade efforts.

Over 85 exhibitors included technology companies, international trade organizations and supporting organizations. 50 companies showcased their technologies to approximately 500 attendees.

Keynote Speaker Barry Sedlik, Undersecretary of the California Business, Transportation and Housing Agency, and Senior Advisor for Economic Development, addressed the attendees. Other speakers included Kamal Bhadada Regional Director, Southern California, TCS (Tata Consulting Services) America; Mark Rathjen, Director, Product Management, Verizon International Operations, City of Long Beach Mayor Beverly O'Neill and K.Y. Cheng, Executive Vice- President & Director of international banking of East West Bank.
