Background

Authentic Fitness carries Speedo, the number one brand of swimwear in the world. Today Speedo has a winning presence in 125 markets around the world. Its success is due to the continued strength of its reputation as a maker of revolutionary swimwear, activewear and accessories for men, women and children. Speedo's continued success is also due to constant developments of high performance designs combined with cutting edge fabrics and state-of-the-art construction techniques.

Challenges

Speedo wanted to increase sales for their Speedo online division by obtaining web presence. They wanted a site much larger than other online stores. Speedo wanted to use this site as a means of direct marketing.

Their main focus was to expand the volume of business done by effectively attracting more traffic to the site and producing more sales in order to fulfill high volumes through a much higher degree of automation. In order to do this, implementations and enhancements needed to be made.

Solution

Systech was involved in expanding the e-commerce site by enhancing the catalog process to allow for additional loading of multiple editions of catalogs. The order capture process was changed to maintain and capture valuable information on affiliates and to capture successful promotional analysis.

The front-end system was enhanced for better navigation. Advertising banners as well as showcases of specific products were added to do online promotions. Systech implemented a robust order processing system which allowed for a much more reliable and higher volume auto processing system. The creation of monitoring reports were implemented to keep track of the system resources, web connections and web site hits.

Result

Speedo.com was able to generate sales on-line from their site, which were equivalent to their retail store sales. With less than a month of implementation there was a sales increase of more than 15 times there sales. Speedo.com has improved inventory management as well as automated management resulting from the implementation. Speedo.com now has a better navigational system along with a functional website layout to increase traffic.
